The best band?

I was talking to a friend of mine about this last week. Name the best band. Seems like an easy question, I mean of course you know which band you like the most. But still, non of us were able to answer the question. He said, "Maybe The Beatles?". Yeah, maybe. But then again, what about Pink Floyd? The Doors? Nirvana? Rolling Stones? The Smiths? And thats just bands! On the other hand, what about Syd Barrett? Bob Dylan? Lou Reed? Jimi Hendrix? Neil Young?

Yeah, it's a pretty hard question to answer. Some people says it's indecisive to not know the answer. If you don't have a favourite, you can not be very interested in music. My opinion is the opposite. I do think that if you know your favourite band or artist, then you're not really into music. It's so much great music out there, and if you think it's so easy to pick the best band, thats kinda weird. And thats probably a sign that you don't listen enough to music. 


But thats just my opinion. So.. what's your favourite band/artist?
